BDA follows the Dance Educators of South Africa Syllabus.
All students are required to do examinations once a year.
TAP EXAMINATIONS
The tap syllabus is suitable for children aged 4 and older and begins at the Creative Tap Level 1, there are 11 levels in the tap syllabus, with the student being able to qualify as a dance educator once completing all levels.

MODERN EXAMINATIONS
The modern syllabus is suitable for children aged 4 and older and begins at the Creative Modern Level, there are 16 levels in the modern syllabus, with students being able to qualify as a dance educator once completing all levels.

HIP HOP EXAMINATIONS
The Hip Hop examinations are suitable for children aged 6 and older and begins as the Hip Hop 1 level, there are 11 levels in the Hip Hop syllabus, with students being able to qualify as a dance educator once completing the levels.
